Portrait shoots are great for showcasing you! I have a relaxed approach so hopefully this helps you to feel less anxious about having your photo taken.  During the shoot we just chat and have a laugh and this type of shoot is great  if you want a special picture with your dog, or a picture for your new business venture and even for a headshot for a new job.
