This special couple had a wedding In Guildford registry office, finishing with a reception at the Ivy restaurant in Guildford, Surrey.
After a pre wedding engagement shoot in Shalford seeing the couple again felt like seeing friends, they are such a joyful loving couple and it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day. They had family from Canada & Ireland flying over to join them which added so many happy faces beaming in the ceremony as Dick and Margaret said their vowels to each other. The couple were a little nervous but so happy to be getting married having been great friends for many years prior.
The ceremony ended and we headed to Guildford Castle for some fantastic couple shots in front of the castle and in the grounds. It looked sensational and I organised some group shots there.
After finishing the couple shots we headed over to the Ivy in Guildford and the room they had was so beautiful with its golden, Japanese styled wallpapers, balcony opening up to overlook the castle, gleaming in the sun with golden trees.
It was great to shoot in and I was loving the decor as you can imagine! making sure I had all the rooms shots, details, tables, cake images done I waited for the guests to arrive and captured all the laughs and special moments they shared together.
A very elegant bride and groom began to unwind and relax with their guests, as I left them just after the cake cutting having had a great time capturing their day I could now return home to my family & ready to do all the uploading and backing up of the images! Im always so excited to start editing the weddings! I usually get the sneak peeks up after a few days on social media for the couples to see a few from the day whilst they wait for the final wedding edit.
